on this occasion, I will explain how the reverse osmosis system works. here I will give an example of a PLC program for a reverse osmosis system, the example is a project of PT Paragon, a cosmetics company in Indonesia.

for the plc program i use siemens software with the tia portal version 14. the reverse osmosis system implemented in the company has a capacity of 5.6 m3 / h.

in this reverse osmosis system there are 3 operating modes, among them are

1. service mode

2. sanitation mode with hot water using a heater

3. chemical cleaning mode

a. main view or home view

in the main view someone can log in based on levels such as operator level, admin level, supervisor level and others

b. mimic diagram view

on the Mimic diagram display there are several instruments such as

1. PT = pressure transmitter

function = used to read water pressure

2. LT = transmitter level

function = is used to read water level

3. TT = transmitter temperature

function = used to read water temperature

4. uv = ultraviolet

function = uv lamp is used to irradiate water with ultraviolet light used to remove bacteria

5. PU = pump

function = used to distribute water from break tanks

6. CT = transmitter conductivity

function = used to measure conduct water

7. RD = repture disk

function = as a safety if the break tank is vacuum
